Announcing the Theaetetus Project

For those who read Ghost, I would like to announce and extend an invite for the.aetet.us, a project that was inspired by my involvement with Long Sunday's seminar series. The.aetet.us is a half journal of the in-progress and half-seminar setup, with an emphasis on rhetoric, but with an obvious engagement with other types of theory and other disciplinary sources.

The project does not replace Long Sunday, which has a unique intellectual climate and is also primarily a group blog with a wide variety of posts, sometimes extremely insightful, sometimes merely provocative, sometimes expository. I wanted something less bloggy and more seminar oriented, with the added benefit of sharing work that was being planned for publication in the hope of seeking feedback, a process that folks often do with friends and peers anyway. But the main point of the site is the seminar function, as I missed having the opportunity to discuss themes and/or groups of similar readings with people who shared my academic interests. So if you've got some time and inclination, please check it out, join, and even participate.
