Long Time, No See

Rather than post about the frequency of posting, I wanted instead to talk about the nature of posting and the question of design. I am continually dismayed by how many sites continue to deploy tables as a means of organizing information when some simple css would do, a practice that often excludes those with visual disabilities since most reading-aids do not transliterate tabled data. That the web has an occular privilege is no surprise, but that web designers do so little to be concerned with that privilege, or more importantly for them, do so little to guarantee as wide an access range as possible, is rather disappointing. Disheartening, even.

So please, less tables, more css.
