As strange as it may be, not knowing you very well, nevertheless sincerely: Bravo. (And may her sweet dreaming occasionally permit you also, to sleep, etc.)

So far, knock on wood and all that, she's been quite angelic. And my sleep has been just fine. Even Mom's sleep has been alright.
I read her Derrida while in-utero (I was reading it already, and wanted her to hear and learn my voice, and thought I'd do both at the same time, so my dorkdom isn't as grand as that sentence might otherwise indicate), and I think it gave her a quiet, thoughtful disposition. Of course, if she refuses to actually commit to anything later in life, and instead debates "on the one hand, on the other hand", I'll have no one but myself and JD to blame.

wonderful! how fabulous and great. (My first born was perfect until he had been home about 8 days. Then he cried every night from 11-3 for the next 8 months.) Good luck!

A few days late, but congratulations. As my mother always tell people about my life as a baby, "I wish you a deaf child! Never screams, never complains, never speaks." That homily of hers always disturbs me, however, so I take it back. I wish you a quiet child...and at least one complete night of sleep between now and the new year.
